Barbies & Mom's Sewing Shears
My love story with the beauty industry didn't begin in a salon. It started in childhood with my mom’s sewing shears, a Barbie styling head, and my very first client: My Mom.
She was my first mirror, the one who showed me how to see beauty in myself and others.
Growing up, she searched high and low for brown dolls that looked like me, curating a collection that reflected the world in all its glorious diversity.
Each doll was a quiet declaration: you are seen, you are beautiful, you belong.
From her, I learned that beauty isn't a mold to fit into; it’s a mosaic of shades, shapes, and sizes, each piece worthy of celebration. This profound lesson continues to shape every part of my life, both personally and professionally.
